A cherished tradition that has been celebrated for 100 years! This special evening honors the outstanding achievements of our students who have excelled in every way throughout the school year. Our entire community comes together to recognize and celebrate the hard work, dedication, and talent of our young achievers. It’s a night filled with inspiring speeches, heartfelt moments, and a shared sense of pride as we applaud the accomplishments of our future leaders. 1969
The Principal's Address as well as the list of prizes which were given on that speech day were written in this issue of 'The Lion'.

A Speech Day summary of 1980 mentioning the guest speaker and the songs which were performed by the KGV Orchestra. There is also mention of community spirit being high and an illustration on the bottom right.

Report 1986
A short report of the Speech Day occurring in 1986 with colour pictures showcasing students being awarded, the orchestra playing music as well as the guests in attendance. Note that this day was called the Golden Jubilee Speech Day signifying 50 years in the school built in Ho Man Tin.

1994
Called the Speech Day Report of 1993, this report notes some of the improvements of the school such as the air conditioning system being installed as well as the new block plans being finalised. A photo collage was used in this edition and report.
KGV Calendar
1995
Showcasing some of KGV's formal occasions, the Speech Day of 1994 was displayed mentioning a record number of guests attending. Also mentioned was the opening of the school hall in 1936.

In our latest Speech Night, we captured some of the moments which made this a memorable night for our students. After a down period during to covid, it was important to successfully run this event to show that KGV events were back in full swing!
